Chicago-based Leading Real Estate Companies of the World, a network of residential brokerages, named Paul Boomsma as its new president and CEO.
Boomsma had been chief operating officer, and in 2005, founded Luxury Portfolio International, the luxury marketing wing of LeadingRE, according to a release announcing his appointment.
To join LeadingRE, a brokerage has to be among the top 5 independent firms in its market in either sales or volume, and be in the top 10 overall, the company said.
Before joining LeadingRE, Boomsma was marketing director for Koenig & Strey, which is now part of Berkshire Hathaway’s local brand in Chicago, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services KoenigRubluff. He has also served as national marketing director for GMAC Real Estate. — Scott Klocksin
