A co-creator of the Siri voice assistant is ditching the suburbs and moving to the top floor of the Aqua tower in Lakeshore East.

Dag Kittlaus told Crain’s that he and his wife, Leslie put the 81st-floor penthouse under contract in August and are selling their home in a gated community in North Barrington. He would not say how much he agreed to pay for the condo, but said it was close to the asking price of $3.75 million.

The 3,500-square-foot condo has four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and luxury finishes to go with views of the lakefront and Millennium Park. Jennifer Ames of Coldwell Banker brokered the deal.

The six-bedroom North Barrington house, built in 2011 on a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, will go on the market April 16 for $2.5 million. Connie Antoniou of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty is the broker, according to Curbed.

Kittlaus and three partners founded a startup in 2007 that created the voice recognition assistant Siri, which was later bought by Apple for $200 million. They then created a more advanced personal assistant, Viv, which Samsung bought for $215 million in 2016.
