Magellan Development Group is taking buyer incentives to a new level.

At Studio Gang’s under-construction Vista Tower, scheduled to open in 2019, residents of the skyscraper’s 400 apartments will have access to a car-sharing program stocked with the latest Tesla models, as Inman reports. Residents who use the service will manage their vehicle bookings through a mobile app.

“The car-share program provides an alternative for residents to travel beyond the local community without the commitment of leasing or owning a personal vehicle,” Magellan’s Leila Zammatta explained to Inman.

Vista Tower will also house a hotel and, when complete, will be Chicago’s third tallest building.

Car-share programs are becoming an increasingly popular amenity aimed at both reducing residents’ carbon footprints and lessening overloaded parking lots. [Inman]Erin Hudson
