A three-story Uptown building is again turning into a massive Advent calendar for December.

Starting Dec. 1, the Wilson Abbey at 935 West Wilson Avenue will light up one additional window each night until the final window is lit up for the public on Christmas Eve, according to Block Club Chicago.

Three floors of windows will be decorated with art from local residents and from the project’s art director, Karl Sullivan, and his collaborator, Suzanne Stewart.

This is the third year the abbey has put on the month-long art show, which comes from the month-long Christian season of anticipation before Christmas.

The artwork will include paintings, graphic designs and sculptures, with the first two floors representing the earth and the third heaven. One window will have Tuskegee Airmen representing the three wise men. [Block Club] — John O’Brien
