Bulls coach Boylen sells River North condo
New Chicago Bulls coach Jim Boylen and his wife Christine sold their River North condo. But they but didn’t move far: The couple now live in the unit next door, which they bought in 2017. Listing agent Paul Gorney of Coldwell Banker said he couple initially had planned to combine the units to create a much larger, family-size unit but later had a change of heart. Developer plans boutique Arlington Heights hotel with rooftop bar
A boutique hotel proposed in Arlington Heights will have a rooftop bar, but it won’t be open to public. The outdoor lounge will top the six-story Chez Arlington, 519 West Algonquin Road, on the north end of the European Crystal banquet hall, most of which will be torn down. Citing parking concerns, village officials are limiting the bar’s hours to when the remaining banquet hall is in use, but its owner hopes to change their minds later. [Daily Herald]
With Solis keeping low profile after FBI mole news, development meetings delayed
The bombshell news that Alderman Danny Solis (25th) wore a wire to build a case against his colleague Ed Burke is creating more collateral damage. Solis has been out of town since the story broke, and his absence means community meetings on two projects in his ward had to be postponed. Meetings were scheduled for Thursday and Monday to review proposed apartment buildings at 19 North May Street and 37 South Sangamon Street, but now they’ll have to wait. [Block Club]
Gold Coast condo once owned by Billy Corgan sells for $2.8M
A two-bedroom Gold Coast condominium once owned by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan sold for $2.8 million, six years after Corgan unloaded it for a loss at $2.5 million.
