Historic Frank Lloyd Wright home hits the market

A 122-year-old home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright hit the market in Hyde Park. Wright built the seven-bedroom home at 5132 South Woodlawn Avenue in 1897 for businessman Isidore Heller. The current owners bought the Heller House for $1.8 million in 2004, and it’s been on and off the market several times since 2012. Listed at $2.4 million in 2016, it’s now asking $2.2 million. Lemonis sheds one Lake Forest mansion, keeps the other

Marcus Lemonis sold one of two adjacent mansions he owned in Lake Forest. The entrepreneur and host of the reality TV show “The Profit” sold the six-bedroom, 6,500-square-foot mansion for $1.7 million, just eight months after buying it for $1.9 million. The home is next door to a 7,400-square-foot Georgian Lemonis bought in 2013 for $5 million. Lemonis listed the smaller home in January for $2.8 million and cut the asking price three times until it hit $1.8 million. Topgolf coming to Magnificent Mile

A Topgolf Swing Suite is coming to JMB Realty’s 900 North Michigan Shops. The interactive gaming simulator will take 2,900 square feet formerly occupied by PianoForte next to the Aster Hall food hall. It’s the first Chicago location for Topgolf, which also has facilities in Naperville and Wood Dale, and another opening in Schaumburg. [Crain’s]

Structured Development working on agreement to develop Orland Park parcels

Orland Park officials are negotiating a deal with Structured Development for the firm to complete the build-out of the 27-acre Main Street Triangle. The Chicago firm was selected in November to develop the remaining parcels northwest of LaGrange Road and 143rd Street. The village has five sites, totaling about 9 acres, available for development, and a 12,000-square-foot space on the first floor of a parking garage that could be redeveloped. Structured envisions a mix of retail shops, offices, restaurants and possibly townhomes. [Daily Southtown]

Pilsen historic landmark district gets key city OK

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks approved a plan to turn a 1.5-mile stretch along 18th Street in Pilsen into a historic landmark. The designation means roughly 850 buildings and murals in the South Side neighborhood will become historic landmarks. New Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez (25th), though, said more community input on the plan is needed. The proposal still needs the formal approval of aldermen. [Block Club]
