White Sox executive vice president Kenny Williams and Channel 5 anchor Zoraida Sambolin were the buyers of a Gold Coast mansion from TV personalities Bill and Giuliana Rancic.
The couple paid $5 million for the 8,100-square-foot home at 105 East Bellevue Place. It closed in February, purchased through a trust that concealed their identities, according to Crain’s.
Phil Skowron of @properties agent represented Williams and Sambolin. Laura Rubin Dresner of Baird & Warner had the Rancics’ listing.
Williams and Sambolin just sold their 3,800-square-foot Streeterville townhouse for $2.3 million, a year and a half after buying it for $2.4 million.
Bill Rancic, winner of the first season of now-President Donald Trump’s “The Apprentice;” and Giuliana Rancic, an E! television host, paid $2.2 million for the home and undertook an extensive renovation and expansion.
They listed it in March 2018 at $6.8 million and later reduced the asking price to $6 million before the final price cut and sale. [Crain’s] — John O’Brien
