The building housing the popular Plymouth Restaurant & Bar on the south end of the Loop is looking for a new owner.

The three-story building at 327 South Plymouth Court that houses the Plymouth and two floors of offices is being shopped in a new @properties marketing flyer, according to Chicago magazine. Broker Michael Weber has the listing.

The Plymouth, a popular happy hour spot for students at nearby South Loop colleges, occupies the first and lower levels — and the rooftop deck — of the 8,300-square-foot building, which is being marketed to buyers who would maintain the existing uses or possibly redevelop it. No listing price was given.

The building is owned by Diamond Properties Principal George Liakopoulos, who also owns the White Palace Grill in the South Loop and the Hollywood Grill in Wicker Park.

The Plymouth sits in an area of Downtown that’s been evolving since the establishment opened in 2005. A number of student housing complexes have opened in and around the area to cater to students at the numerous schools in the area, and the neighborhood to the south is seeing a continued surge in multifamily development.

The Plymouth also sits in the shadow of the Financial District, which is at a crossroads as it stares down the loss of several big tenants and increased competition from office complexes in River North, Fulton Market and elsewhere.
