JMP Realty co-founder and Walton Street Capital managing director Neil Bluhm owns a number of trophy properties in Chicago, and now his daughter just parted with one of her pricey homes.

Meredith Bluhm-Wolf and her husband William Wolf sold their Winnetka mansion for $4.1 million after three months on the market and a 12 percent discount on the original $4.65 million asking, county records show. Winnetka remains among the strongest for luxury sales in the Chicago area.

The sale was still far more than the couple paid for the property.

They bought 905 Sunset Road in 2004 for $3.1 million, then embarked on multiple renovations. Those were completed by Marvin Herman & Associates, the firm that designed the mansion in 1992, according to county records.

The Lake Shore Drive property is 9,000 square feet with five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, three half-bathrooms, an indoor pool with floor-to-ceiling windows, a mud room, an atrium, a gym, and a wood-burning fireplace. Trees surrounding the property give shade and privacy, the listing shows.

@properties’ Jena Radnay had the listing.

It is one of eight Winnetka homes that have sold for more than $4 million this year.

The drop in price from the original offer reflects a Chicago luxury residential market that has slowed in 2019. Home sales exceeding $1 million dropped 22 percent in the first quarter, taken on a year over year basis. That followed a year of slowing growth in 2018, compared to 2017.
