1241 N. State Pkwy | $6.5 million | Near North Side
A property that once housed one of the last remaining brick cottages just hit the market, asking just a hair under $6.5 million. The seller paid $1.5 million to acquire the property in 2016, and quickly demolished the historic old brick house, which dated back to 1872. In its place is a brand-new six-bedroom, seven-bath mansion spanning nearly 7,500 square feet. The home, situated on a 3,300-square-foot lot, includes a four-car garage, a yard and two rooftop terraces. It’s certainly fancy, if not quite steeped in history anymore. The home is listed with Timothy Salm of Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.
79 Elm Street | $3.9 million | Near North Side

The first of two condo listings in the Park Tower, this three-bedroom, three-bath condo has northern, eastern and western exposure and is located on the 33rd floor. The 3,000-square-foot space, built in 2000, includes a kitchen overlooking the city and a deck overlooking the lake. It is listed with Joanne Nemerovski of Compass.
1814 N. Cleveland Ave | $3.49 million | Lincoln Park
The only top listing not located in the Near North Side is this property, a six-bedroom, 6.5 bath single-family home in Lincoln Park. According to public records, the seller bought the home in 1992 for just $275,000. That’s a retirement plan right there. Anyway, this 6,800-square-foot home sits on a 2,900-square-foot lot and features custom millwork, a curving staircase and a roof deck with views of St. Michael’s and downtown. It was listed by Kathleen Bill and Julie Sachs Capp of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Koenig Realty Group.
