Single-family homes are popular top sales this week

It was a big week for single-family home sales: four out of the top five resi sales this past week were of that variety. And, as is customary, the Near North Side was the most popular neighborhood in our rundown of top resi sales. Check out the full list below:

1238 W. Webster Ave. | $2.7 million | Lincoln Park

This five-bedroom, 5,500-square-foot house is the first of four single-family homes on this week’s list. Built in a contemporary style in 2017, the house sits on a 2,900-square-foot lot. It features 4.5 bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, glass railing, a master spa bath and a 1,600-square-foot deck. It was listed by Dawn McKenna of Coldwell Banker Residential.

1530 N. North Park Ave. | $2 million | Near North Side

The Near North Side is home to two new residences on this list. This 4,000-square-foot single-family modern farmhouse is the first. The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home, built in 1996, features a chef’s kitchen, a center courtyard, and a rooftop deck. It sits on a 2,500-square-foot lot and was listed by Mario Greco of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Koenig Rubloff.

1936 N. Honore St. | $2 million | Logan Square

This six-bedroom, six-bath Bucktown home was built in 2014 by Stratum Builders. It features custom cabinets, a chef’s kitchen, a third floor sun-room, a recreational room and a Butler’s pantry. The 5,100-square-foot space is situated on a 3,000-square-foot lot. It was listed by Michael Walczak of Compass.

180 E. Pearson St. #7202 | $1.9 million | Near North Side

The only condo resi sale on the list for this week is this 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom, three-bath penthouse condo at Water Tower Place, built in 1976. The second Near North Side sale to make the list, it has north and east exposure, with views of the lake and the beach. It also includes oak flooring, valet parking and concierge service from the Ritz Carlton, the adjoining building. It was listed by Timothy Salm for Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty.

1825 W Wabansia Ave | $1.8 million | Bucktown

The last on this list is the 4,000-square-foot, three-bedroom home, with solar panels and a private studio apartment in the house. Built in 1891, it features four baths and has LEED Gold Certification with a geothermal system, wind turbines and solar panels. There is also a Valcucine kitchen, workout room and a heated two-car garage as well. It sits on a 1,900-square-foot lot. It was listed by Jeff Lowe of Compass.
