Last week’s five priciest home sales closed for a combined $13.9 million, over a half million more than the previous week.
Three houses, two of which are row houses, and two condos, traded in last week’s priciest sales. The sales took place in three neighborhoods: Lincoln Park, the Near North Side and the Loop.
A four-floor house in Lincoln Park that sold for just about $4.3 million claimed the title of last week’s most expensive sale. The price tags for the other four homes were in the $3 million to $2 million range.
Price and property details were found using Redfin, from Dec. 13 to 20.
1820 N. Cleveland Ave. | $4.3 million | Lincoln Park
Environs Development’s newly constructed seven-bedroom, seven bath single family home in Lincoln Park closed Dec. 13 at just under $4.3 million. The home offers 7,000 square feet of indoor living space and more than 1,500 square feet of outdoor space. Amenities include an elevator, penthouse, garage roof deck, third-floor veranda and fourth-floor skydeck with city views. Kevin Wood of @properties had the listing. Jeff Lowe and Joy Larkin of the Lowe Group at Compass represented the buyer.
21 E. Huron St., #4401 | $3 million | Near North Side
Sold on Dec. 17, this nearly 4,000-square-foot condo on the 44th floor of the Pinnacle in River North has three ensuite bedrooms and an extra half bath. Amenities in the Lucien Lagrange-designed building, completed in 2004, include an indoor pool, gym, home theater, card room and dog area. It was listed with Sharon Glickman and Randi Pellar of Baird & Warner. Nicole Lohmar of Keller Williams Realty represented the buyer.
1302 N. Ritchie Ct. | $2.3 million | Near North Side
This Potter Palmer row house has five bedrooms, four full baths and two half baths throughout four floors. The 5,300-square-foot, gut-renovated home in the Gold Coast also includes a library, playroom and wine cellar, plus a roof terrace with views of Lake Michigan. It closed on Dec. 19 for $2.3 million, slightly less than the previous owner paid in October 2016. Brad Lippitz of Compass worked with the seller and Thomas Lazar of Dream Town Realty represented the buyer.
60 E. Monroe St., #6602 | $2.3 million | Loop
The floor to ceiling windows in this almost 3,000-square-foot condo overlook Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, Grant Park and Lake Michigan from the 66th floor of the Legacy at Millennium Park. The condo has three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The building’s amenities include an indoor pool, gym, valet cleaner, outdoor garden terrace and two outdoor sky garden lounges. The condo previously sold for $2.2 million in March 2014. It closed for almost $2.3 million on Dec. 20, with listing agent Laura Rango and buyers agent Patricia Young, both of @properties.
509 W. Menomonee St. | $2 million | Lincoln Park
This four-bedroom, 5.5 bath row house is part of Sulo Development’s recently built Menomonee Row development, inspired by Richardsonian Romanesque architecture. It was listed with Compass brokers Timothy Sheahan and Mark Icuss, who also represented the buyer in the Dec. 18 sale that was just shy of $2.2 million.
