Chicago’s five priciest residential sales this week combined for $8.8 million, just under $2 million below the previous week’s total.
An 11th-floor penthouse on the Near North Side topped this week’s list. Two homes in Lincoln Park homes — one a penthouse condo the other a Victorian-style house. The other two listings were also single-family homes.
So far, the first week of February had the highest total, topping out at $16.4 million for the five.

1500 N. Lake Shore Dr. Unit 11-12B | $2.4M | Near North Side
Located on the 11th floor of a vintage high-rise, this two-level condo has five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a wine room, a library and two wood-burning fireplaces. It previously sold for $2.6 million last July. Baird & Warner broker Millie Rosenbloom had the listing. Jeffrey Proctor of @properties represented the buyer.
540 W. Webster Ave. #1104 | $1.9M | Lincoln Park
This three-bedroom penthouse is on the 11th floor of a building constructed in 2017. The condo has a wraparound terrace that runs the length of the unit with views of the lake and city. Elizabeth August of @properties has the listing. It’s unclear who represented the buyer.
611 W. Deming Pl. | $1.8M | Lincoln Park
This four-bedroom Victorian-style house also comes with a one-bedroom coach house over the three-car garage, plus a landscaped garden and four decks. It was built in 1897 and rehabbed in 2008. The house previously sold for more than $1.9 million in May 2007. Studio Group designed this two-story, five-bedroom home newly built by V & M Development. The 2,500-square-foot lot was purchased for $425,000 in April 2019. Compass broker Michael Yeagle had the listing. Blake Galler of Elan Realty Group represented the buyer.

Renowned architect firm Hall, Lawrence and Ratcliffe designed this 5,000-square-foot brick house built in 1934. It was rehabbed in 2016. The house previously sold for $635,000 in July 2002. Chris Vernald and Erik Schwab of Urban Real Estate had the listing. It’s unclear who represented the buyer.
