A six-bedroom home in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood that went on the market in February for $3.975 million sold for $3.725 million, a 2021 record for the area.
Chicago Title Land Trust bought the six-bedroom, 4,542-square-foot house at 1622 North Wolcott Avenue, in a deal that closed on June 30, Cook County records show, The sellers were Elliot Weissbluth, founder and former CEO of Chicago-based HighTower Advisors, and his wife Jennifer Weissbluth.
Neither buyer nor seller could be reached for comment.Elliot Weissbluth retired as chairman of HighTower last year and later joined the board of Canadian energy company Spartan Delta. The two-story house boasts a 1,500-bottle wine cellar and an outdoor kitchen.
The record price for a home near Bucktown came in 2015, when a new five-bedroom contemporary mansion sold for $4.819 million.
