Chicago Bears linebacker Robert Quinn has found a new place to call home.
Quinn and his wife, Christina, bought a newly built five-bedroom, 4,300-square-foot home in Lake Forest to be closer to the Bears’ Halas Hall training facility, the Chicago Tribune reported.
The home, which cost the couple $2.13 million, sits on a 0.57-acre lot and features a slate roof, copper gutters, a front walk with brick pavers and a bluestone entry. The house has 10-foot ceilings on the first floor, an open floor plan, two fireplaces, custom built-ins and a first-floor master bedroom suite. The home is also equipped with a finished basement that includes a second kitchen and a wet bar.
The mansion was listed for $2.5 million when it was still being built in 2019. The asking price was cut to $2.4 million in 2020, but the home still sat on the market for almost a year before the Quinns bought it.
Quinn recently sold his 9,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, nine-bathroom, French Provincial-style Glencoe mansion. The Sheridan Road home sold for $3.48 million in August.
Quinn’s teammate, new quarterback Andy Dalton, also recently bought a home nearby. Dalton and his wife paid $2.48 million for a five-bedroom, 5,347-square-foot house in Lake Bluff in an off-market deal.
The Chicago Bears are also in the process of finding a new home. The team submitted a bid for the 326-acre thoroughbred track in Arlington Heights. The NFL team is exploring the possibility of building a new stadium there, and adding other developments to the surrounding property. The team does have a lease with Soldier Field that runs through 2033. If the team breaks that lease, it will have to pay a fine of $84 million to the city.
