Compass Chicagoland signed HomeCo Chicago, a three-broker team co-founded in 2019 by Haley Levine Wills and Tony Mattar, as it continues to expand in the region.

The co-founders join Compass after a combined 17 years of experience as Wills enters her ninth year in real estate and Mattar starts his eighth. Both started their real estate careers as assistants until they formed their own.

After operating an independent brokerage for three years, “the HomeCo Team is excited to combine our knowledge of Chicagoland and our passion for real estate with the technological expertise of Compass,” said Wills.

HomeCo Chicago had $34.4 million in closed and pending home sales in 2021. The team will be based at Compass’ office in Roscoe Village.

Wills and Mattar understand the value of “marrying support with technology to deliver a seamless home buying and selling experience to their clients.” said Rachael Rohn, regional president of Compass.

Compass’ signing of HomeCo Chicago comes after it recently lost its group of agents that it recruited three years ago from @properties. Pam MacPherson, who led her team to close $100 million in residential transactions last year, returned to @properties after fulfilling their two-year contract with Compass.

Compass, since launching in 2017, lured away a few of @properties’ top producers, including new development specialist Heather Gusfafson and agents Cindi Sodolski and Jordan Euson.

Compass’ office at 2350 North Lincoln Avenue ranked second in total sales in Chicagoland with $313 million in the third quarter of 2021, according to Chicago Agent Magazine’s top 20 offices in the area.

Compass is home to more than 25,000 agents and operates in over 60 markets in the U.S. In the third quarter 2021, Compass revenue rose 47 percent year-over-year to $1.74 billion. Number of transactions increased 36 percent during that quarter from the previous year, according to the company’s latest earnings report.
