A former Chicago Cubs executive has sold his Wilmette house.

Jason McLeod and his wife Nicole sold their house on Sheridan Road for $1.39 million in December, according to the Chicago Tribune.

McLeod had been with the Cubs for 10 years. When he started he oversaw scouting and player development, and more recently he managed player personnel. He joined the Arizona Diamondbacks in December after his contact with the Cubs expired that October.

The 4,720-square-foot home has five bathrooms and was built in 1903. McLeod and his wife paid $1.12 million when they purchased the house in 2018, according to the Tribune. They originally listed the home in September 2021 for $1.5 million and cut the asking price to $1.39 million in October.

The five-bedroom, seven-bath home was designed in the Colonial style. The house is across Sheridan Road from the shore of Lake Michigan, Gibson Park and beachfront. It includes hardwood floors, high ceilings and a circular floor plan on the first floor. Amenities include a media and game room, a gym and recreation room, a large patio and a three-car garage.

The buyers were Adam and Phyllis Dublin, according to Cook County property records. They were represented by Greg Gibson, of CNS Real Estate

The house “was thoughtfully updated for today’s lifestyle while preserving the original architecture and spirit of this original east Wilmette home on iconic Sheridan Road,” listing agent Molly Maloney Inzitari of Coldwell Banker told the Tribune. “This stunning home boasts 5 bedrooms, 6½ bathrooms, a huge chef’s kitchen and a glorious private backyard steps from Lake Michigan. The owners maintained the house to perfection.”

McLeod was one of three executives who joined the Cubs baseball operations team a decade ago. They are often credited with recruiting and drafting key players who would go on to win the 2016 World Series for the Cubs.
