These are the top home sales in Kane County last month

June’s priciest home sales in Kane County, a Chicago collar county 50 miles west of the city, ranged from $1.2 million to $2.3 million. One of the five was in Geneva, the county seat, and the others were in St. Charles. Kane County, named for the state’s first secretary of state, Elias Kane, has a population of 515,588 according to the U.S. Census, and spreads over 520 square miles.

The data was collated by Zillow from information provided by Midwest Real Estate Data and doesn’t include off-market deals. Read on for thumbnails of the top five.

1. 5N142 Prairie Lakes Blvd, St Charles, IL, $2.3 million

This five-bedroom, eight-bathroom home sold for $2.3 million on June 27. The 10,000-square-foot home in St. Charles is on a half-acre lot that backs up to a small lake. Built in 2009, the home includes a wine cellar, pool and a built-in espresso machine, among other amenities. Kari Kohler at Coldwell Banker Realty represented the sellers and Stephanie Seplowin, also at Coldwell,, represented the buyers.

2. 1010 Glenbriar Ct, St Charles, IL, $2.2 million

This almost 10,000-square-foot home sold for $2.2 on June 15. It has six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Built in 1998 and updated in 2017, it’s on one acre in The Sanctuary of The Woods of Fox Glen subdivision. Amenities include a home theater, home gym and four-car garage. Cory Jones with RE/MAX St Charles represented the sellers and Craig Doherty of @properties Christie’s International Real Estate represented the buyers.

3. 801 Meadows Rd, Geneva, IL, $1.4 million

This five-bedroom, five-bathroom home closed for $1.4 million on June 10. Built in 2006, the home is just over 3,400 square feet. It was last listed in 2015, when it sold for $1.01 million, meaning the sale 37 percent above that price. Mary Reuter Kenney with RE/MAX Excels represented the sellers and Ginny Sylvester at Hemming & Sylvester Properties represented the buyers.

4. 5N211 Wilton Croft Rd, St Charles, IL, $1.3 million

This five-bedroom, nine-bathroom house closed for $1.3 million on June 27. The 1.2-acre property includes a pool, wine cellar and four-car garage. Built in 2004, the house was originally listed in February for $1.7 million. Four price changes brought the listing down to $1.4 million, before it closed at $1.3 million in June. 5. 3202 Royal Fox Dr, St Charles, IL, $1.2 million

This five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in St. Charles closed for $1.2 million on June 13. The 5,500-square-foot home was built in 2000 and is on half an acre. The home had been previously listed in 2021 for $1.3 million, before it was removed and relisted for $1.275 in April. Carie Holzl of Keller Williams Inspire – Geneva represented the sellers and Meg Whitted of Baird & Warner Fox Valley – Geneva represented the buyers.
