Buyers behind the second priciest Chicago-area home sale this year have been identified.
Shiraz and Vijay Kotte, both executives in healthcare-related fields, paid $12.25 million for the 10,000-square-foot house at 445 Sheridan Road in the northern suburb of Winnetka in late August, Crain’s reported. A legal entity headed by Shiraz Kotte was the official buyer according to Cook County records.
Shiraz Kotte is the managing director of K4 Capital Group. Her husband Vijay is the CEO of GoHealth, as well as co-founder of K4 Capital.
The Kottes’ purchase marked the second priciest Chicao-area transaction of 2023, behind only the $12.5 million sale of another Winnetka mansion that traded roughly one month prior.
The house was listed for sale by Randy Abrahams in September 2022, with a $15.85 million asking price. The property went under contract in June and closed in August. The transaction was brokered by @properties agent Jena Radnay, who represented both the buyer and seller.
The Kottes relocated from another Winnetka residence they purchased in 2019, worth approximately $3.17 million, although it has not yet been publicly listed for sale.
The Sheridan Road mansion spans 6,200 square feet and sits on a 2.2-acre lot. It has five bedrooms, a swimming pool, guest house and 155 feet of shoreline along Lake Michigan. The house was built in 1910 and belonged to famed businessman W. Clement Stone for four decades.
