Randi Quigley, a seasoned luxury real estate agent based in Manhattan, Illinois, is set to make her television debut as the Chicago-area host for HGTV’s “The American Dream.”
Quigley, who works for eXp Realty, wasn’t actively pursuing a TV role, but a real estate agent and host introduced her to the show, and she quickly became captivated by its concept, the Chicago Tribune reported. After auditioning, Quigley soon landed the role of the Chicago-area host.
“I went, and I fell in love with the program,” Quigley said, reflecting on her audition. “It felt like it was pretty organic how it happened.”
Debuting in 2018, “The American Dream” showcases real estate professionals across the country who tour neighborhoods and provide insights into the local culture and lifestyles.
With nearly two decades in real estate and annual sales ranging from $20 million to $30 million, Quigley has built a solid reputation in the Chicago area. Her listings range from $119,000 to $5.51 million and showcase everything from modest homes to multi-million-dollar estates. She recently opened her own eXp office in Manhattan, Illinois.
Quigley’s first episode, which begins filming next week and is expected to air in October, will spotlight one of her own listings in Mokena, followed by a tour of Frankfort’s downtown area.
“I want to show all the different areas and different towns within the state of Illinois,” she said.
Although Quigley, who is from Orland Park, regularly encounters clients who are moving out of the state due to high property and income taxes, she is hopeful that her role on “The American Dream” will inspire people to reconsider living in Illinois.
“It’s a really cool opportunity for the exposure, but also getting people to get back to Illinois,” she said.
