A Sterling Bay executive set a new benchmark for home sales in La Grange.

Chicago developer Sterling Bay’s managing principal and chief design officer Matt Menna and his wife, Courtney, sold their 6,000-square-foot home at 200 South Stone Avenue for $3.15 million, Crian’s reported. They sold for $525 per square foot, an increase from the $153 per square foot they paid in 2011.

The sale marks the highest known public transaction for a single-family home in La Grange, with only two other homes in the area selling for over $2 million. The highest public transaction previously recorded was $2.42 million, according to real estate records.

Michael Collins and Ellyn Collins of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the Mennas, while Compass broker Saulius Galinskas represented the buyer, who wasn’t identified.

After purchasing the five-bedroom, seven-bathroom home for $922,500, the Mennas extensively renovated the property, which spans nearly half an acre.

Key features include a main level with three fireplaces, a pizza oven and wood flooring, as well as a basement equipped with a gym, wine cellar and movie theater. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, a kitchen and two pergolas.

Matt Menna’s influence in the real estate industry extends well beyond his personal real estate sales. As a principal at Sterling Bay since 2010, he has helped shape some of Chicago’s most transformative projects, including Lincoln Yards and developments in the Fulton Market District

Menna’s experience in design also extends to projects beyond Chicago, such as Victory Ranch near Park City, Utah, a luxury community spanning 6,700 acres. Additionally, Menna co-founded the Four Corners Tavern Group with Sterling Bay CEO Andy Gloor, growing the venture from a single tavern into a network of 20 venues across the city.
