Three high-end fashion brands have secured retail leases in Chicago’s bustling Gold Coast shopping district.
Mejuri, Rails and Ganni will take over the storefront at 900 North Rush Street, a space previously occupied by Intermix, which closed in 2023, Crain’s reported. Canvas Real Estate brokers Anthony Campagni and Elan Rasansky negotiated the leases on behalf of the landlord, Fred Latsko.
The property, at the corner of North Rush Street and East Delaware Place, spans 4,200 square feet and has been divided into three units.
While it is not yet confirmed which brand will occupy each space, the site’s central location offers high visibility and foot traffic for all three tenants.
Danish brand Ganni’s store will be its first in the Midwest, although its clothing is already available at Bloomingdale’s.
Jewelry brand Mejuri will open its third Chicago-area store, adding to locations in Fulton Market and Skokie.
California-based apparel brand Rails will also join the Gold Coast retail scene, complementing plans for its Lincoln Park location, at 841 West Armitage Avenue, which is set to open this spring.
Other notable brands have opened up shop in Chicago’s Gold Coast include Lugano Diamonds, which secured its first Gold Coast store at 100-104 East Oak Street, and Bottega Veneta, which is moving into a property 41 East Oak Street, leaving its previous location on the Magnificent Mile.
Additionally, Italian fast-fashion brand Brandy Melville recently expanded its presence with a 6,000-square-foot lease at 8-12 East Walton Street, a deal that nearly tripled the size of its previous location, which spanned just over 2,000 square feet at 64 East Walton Street.
