Coldwell Banker appointed Hannah Gorka regional vice president for the Midwest, where she will oversee operations in Chicago and the broader region.
In the new role, Gorka will oversee the company’s residential operations in Chicago, the western suburbs and the Michiana region, while also leading the Coldwell Banker Commercial division across both the Midwest and Texas, according to a Coldwell Banker press release.
Gorka’s appointment comes shortly after Coldwell Banker Realty’s parent company, Anywhere Real Estate, was acquired by Compass in a $1.6 billion all-stock merger that brought some of Chicagoland’s biggest brokerages under Compass’ banner.
Gorka told The Real Deal that Coldwell Banker would be working on integrating Compass’ technology platform and tools into its operations in the coming months.
“With the technology advancements that now are available under our new parent company, I think we’re exceptionally well positioned to enhance all of our agents’ value propositions,” she said.
The move marks a jump from the purely commercial sector for Gorka, who most recently served as operations manager for Cushman & Wakefield’s Chicago market. During her tenure there, she led operations for capital markets and investor services teams, according to the release. Gorka said the job combines her commercial expertise with past experience in residential.
Gorka owned and operated a residential brokerage before moving to Cushman and Wakefield, according to the release, but she declined to identify it. Her LinkedIn profile lists past experience at Fathom Realty and financial services firms.
Coldwell Banker Realty was the third-ranked brokerage by transaction volume in The Real Deal’s 2025 ranking based on Cook County sales, closing $2.76 billion in sales across 6,257 deals.
Gorka’s hiring follows other changes in Chicagoland at Coldwell Banker. Natasha O’Connor was appointed branch vice president at the brokerage’s lead North Shore offices in Glenbrook and Lake Forest last month. O’Connor was formerly a managing broker at @properties until 2023, according to her LinkedIn. She held roles at Prudential Rubloff and Baird & Warner before that.
Coldwell Banker Realty has about 3,500 agents in Chicagoland and the surrounding regions, according to the release.
