🏆 New Construction: The largest permit issued last week was a superstructure-only permit for the MLS franchise Chicago Fire Stadium, which recently broke ground. An LLC tied to the project filed plans for the $102 million development at 1331 South Wells Street. Randal Cartwright is the architect, and Pepper Construction Company is handling the contracting duties.

📊New Construction: Plans were approved for a mixed-use commercial three-story building addition to the United Center at 1901 West Madison Street. The project is part of the massive $7 billion redevelopment of the parking lots that surround the NHL franchise Chicago Blackhawks and NBA’s Chicago Bulls’ home, the United Center. The $50 million high-rise project will include 266 off-street parking spaces, 10 off-street loading spaces, storage and retail, as well as an occupiable roof. Carlos S. Salvado is the architect, and James McHugh Construction Company is the general contractor.
