South Florida’s top deals: World-renowned conductor offloads Miami Beach home for $20M

🏆 Residential: The priciest residential transaction recorded in South Florida was in Miami Beach, where a four-bedroom, single-family home at 2384 North Bay Road changed hands for $20 million. The sellers were conductor and composer Michael Tilson Thomas, via a trust, and his husband and manager Joshua Robison. The buyer was a trust tied to David A. Stein. The transaction appears to have been off market. The waterfront property spans about 6,000 square feet, pricing the deal at roughly $3,333 per square foot.

🏆 Commercial: The top commercial real estate deal recorded in South Florida was in Davie. A 61,500-square-foot bowling alley on a 16.2-acre lot at 5325 South University Drive traded for $17.5 million. The deal comes out to about $285 per square foot. The seller was the Schumacker Recreation Company, and the buyer was an affiliate of Dallas-based real estate firm Dalfen Industrial.

📊 Commercial: An 8,700-square-foot restaurant building at 131 East Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach traded for $10 million or about $1,100 per square foot. The property is home to an Italian restaurant called Sazio. The seller was an LLC managed by Steven Cohen, and the buyer was 131 Atlantic Ave Property Owner LLC. The property sold in 2020 for $7.3 million.

📊 Residential: Victor and Julia Tolkan snapped up a single-family home at 449 Australian Avenue in Palm Beach for $16.7 million or more than $4,600 per square foot. The seller was Southern Mark LLC, which bought the house in 2024 for $15.9 million. The four-bedroom residence has four and a half baths across 3,600 square feet and was built in 2017. It went on the market in September with an asking price of just under $17 million.

📊 Residential: In Sunny Isles Beach, a condo at 19575 Collins Avenue sold for $10 million or about $2,000 per square foot. The sellers were Adam and Natalia Gordon — he runs a luxury car dealership. They paid $7.8 million for the four-bedroom pad in 2023. The oceanfront unit has five and a half bathrooms and a balcony. It went on the market in January for $10.8 million. Chad Carroll with Compass represented both parties in the deal. The buyer was Evokey LLC.
