This dataset examines cash buys of condominiums in the city’s three most populous boroughs from 2021 to 2023.
The Real Deal looked at all condo purchases not involving a mortgage in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens that were recorded in the city’s ACRIS database from Oct. 1, 2021 to Oct. 1, 2023. For this analysis we divided the sample into two periods: transactions that closed from Oct. 1, 2021, to Oct. 1, 2022, and those recorded from Oct. 2, 2022 to Oct. 1, 2023.
The dataset includes a ranking of the top 10 neighborhoods for cash buyers in each period, as well as price analysis by borough, and details on all 9,433 deals in the two-year sample (totaling over $19 billion in volume).
