ABS Partners has hired Jeff Sharon as managing director. Sharon, who was formerly at CBRE, will work directly with the firm’s partners at ABS, focusing on tenant representation.

Colliers International has announced the promotion of Eric Ferriello to senior managing director of brokerage services. He was previously a managing director.

Erica Buckley has joined the real estate and government relations practices at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan after eight years as the head of the New York State Attorney General’s real estate finance bureau. Buckley will focus on the co-op and condo practice at Stroock.

Avison Young has hired John Bralower as principal to focus on expanding the firm’s capital markets and hospitality platforms in New York City and globally. Bralower comes from The Carlton Group.

Sorgente Group of America has hired Olivia Robertson to manage the Italian firm’s leasing and acquisitions. Robertson comes from Nest Seekers International, where she worked with Ryan Serhant.

CBC Alliance has announced that Karen Dome has joined the firm as a managing principal to lead and expand the firm’s investment sales platform in Manhattan and the boroughs. She was previously at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services.

Michael Adamo has joined as a director within the development division at Rose Associates. He was previously at AvalonBay Communities.

Rado Varchola has joined the Corcoran Group’s Soho office. Varchola, who joins the company from Town Residential, will specialize in the luxury sector of condo, co-op and townhouse sales and luxury rentals in Manhattan, with a focus on the Downtown market.

Obituaries

John Tishman, the longtime head of Tishman Realty and Construction Company, died last month at age 90. During his career, he oversaw the construction of three of the world’s earliest 100-story-plus skyscrapers: the John Hancock Center in Chicago and the twin towers of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan.

Robert Kaufman, the president of the William Kaufman Organization and Sage Realty, died last month at age 89. Known for his leasing talent, Kaufman, along with his brother, Melvyn, transformed the company started by their father into a major player in the NYC office market.
