After 12 years at the Corcoran Group, David Dubin has joined Elliman as a residential agent. Dubin, who has done deals with the likes of David Geffen, Kent Swig and Judge Judy, had been the right-hand man to top Corcoran Group broker Deborah Grubman. He will join Elliman’s Alexander team, headed by brothers Tal and Oren Alexander.

Compass has hired Justin D’Adamo as the startup firm’s head of new development. D’Adamo, who comes from Corcoran Sunshine, will focus on projects outside New York.

Harry Seherr-Thoss has joined Colliers International as a New York-based executive managing director for brokerage services. Seherr-Thoss was formerly a partner at Transwestern. He previously worked at a predecessor firm of Colliers, GVA Williams, in 2007.

Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Toby Dodd to New York-based executive managing director of global occupier services. He was previously a managing director for Singapore business.

Marcus & Millichap has hired Daniel Lisser as a New York City-based senior director, responsible for originating commercial real estate debt and equity nationwide. Lisser comes from Walker & Dunlop.

David Shapiro has joined Megalith Capital Management as director of acquisitions and development. Shapiro previously worked at Connecticut-based Ivy Realty and JPMorgan.

The Moinian Group has promoted Andrew Plotkin to executive vice president in the company’s legal department. Plotkin, who had been associate general counsel, joined the firm in 2011.

Terra Holdings, the parent company of Brown Harris Stevens and Halstead Property, has promoted Matthew Leone to chief marketing officer. Leone’s past experience includes digital and social media marketing and content, as well as media buying and vendor relations.

Consuelo Vasquez joined residential developer HAP Investments as assistant general counsel for litigation. She came from law firm Pepper Hamilton LLP.

GFI Capital Resources Group has appointed Diane Yodice as controller. Yodice, who previously worked at Amtrust Realty, will oversee financial planning, reporting, budget preparation and auditing.

Daniel Shirazi, an attorney whose practice focuses on commercial real estate, has joined Skyline Properties as senior director of sales.

Colliers International has hired four new brokers in New York City: Joshua Goldsmith, Zachary Cilman, both previously from Cushman & Wakefield, as well as Yosef Apple and Robert Ptacek.

Joanne Douglas and her team have jumped to Douglas Elliman after having spent 15 years at Corcoran. The Douglas Team includes Donna Renna, Barbara Levey and their assistant Leonard Cicio.

Obituaries

Oskar Brecher, an executive vice president and director of development at the Moinian Group who helped spearhead projects like the planned 3 Hudson Boulevard office tower in Hudson Yards, died last month. He was 69. Prior to joining the Moinian Group, Brecher served as president of Midtown-based residential development firm AFC Development Group. The cause of death wasn’t immediately clear.
