Natalie Rakowski, a founding member of the residential brokerage CORE, has moved to Douglas Elliman, where she began her career. She is joined by her three team members — Stephen Gallagher, Kerry Elizabeth Lynn and Tucky Ridder.

Cathy Taub, a longtime top producer at Stribling & Associates, has jumped to Sotheby’s International Realty after 14 years at the firm. She will work out of the Sotheby’s Upper East Side office.

Halstead Property has promoted John Wollberg to executive vice president and managing director. Wollberg will continue to oversee Halstead’s Park Avenue office, which he has managed since 2008.

Gregory Belew joins Alliance Residential as managing director, in charge of multifamily acquisition and development in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. He was previously at JPI Companies.

The Rockefeller Group has hired John Pierce as a senior vice president in charge of design and construction nationally. The firm has also added Bill Edwards from the Blackstone Group as senior vice president responsible for leasing, positioning and maintenance of the six million square feet of Class A office space.

Glenn Isaacson has joined Cushman & Wakefield as vice chairman in the New York brokerage office. He comes from CBRE, where he was an executive vice president.

Ron Cohen has been promoted to chief sales officer in charge of the investment sales team at The Besen Group. Cohen, who has been with the firm since 2003, will continue to report to the firms’ president and CEO, Michael Besen.

ATCO Properties & Management has promoted Ryan Huber and hired Joao Casimiro. Each is now a vice president of acquisitions. Huber has been with the firm since 2013. Casimiro joins from TRX Investments in Miami.

Private equity firm Savanna has appointed Ian Hunter as its new director of valuations and operations. He comes from Sumitomo Mitsui Bank. Savanna has also added Blake Williams as a senior analyst and Dan Temel as an analyst.

Peter Davidson has joined Stone Street Properties LLC as managing director, acquisitions and capital markets.

Brown Harris Stevens has hired Miles Chapin at its downtown New York City office. Chapin comes to BHS from Warburg Realty.

Obituaries

David Durst, a member of a New York real estate dynasty who built eight skyscrapers over a 30-year career, died last month at age 90. He was the youngest of five children born to Joseph Durst, an immigrant from Poland who rose from a Lower East Side pushcart vendor to real estate investor. At the Durst Organization, he oversaw construction and engineering. In addition to commissioning and displaying works of art at the buildings he developed, he was an artist in his own right and exhibited his works at galleries in Hastings-on-Hudson and Katonah.
