TOP RESIDENTIAL AGENTS
The brokers rocketing to the top of The Real Deal’s annual ranking of top residential listing agents can credit their long-term
relationships with the developers of the multi-million dollar condos now hitting the Manhattan market. By locking in these new high-end listings, agents like Fredrik Eklund, who shot to stardom on Bravo’s reality real estate TV show “Million Dollar Listing New York,” claimed the No. 1 spot, along with partner John Gomes. Eklund and Gomes had $535.53 million in listings at the time of the survey in 2014, compared to just $92.21 million worth of exclusives the previous year, when they placed 19th. And more than half of their listing volume — $289.65 million — came from new development listings the team has been working on for several years.

Properties were excluded if they went into contract before Jan. 1, 2014. Known teams and partnerships were counted as a single entity. Secondary team members were not included if a large portion of their listings were shared with the lead team member. Listings shared by two or more agents are counted as full listings for each agent. On-site agents who work exclusively for a developer have not been counted. However, if an agent works for a brokerage firm, he/she has been included on this list, and new development listings were included in agents’ totals. *Steinberg and Senequier moved to Urban Compass after survey results were tallied.
