A three-bedroom home in Westwood hit the market today for $2M

Jan.January 18, 2016 05:02 PM

Are you looking for your very own 1920s-era wooden cottage in Westwood for a chill $1,075 a square foot? Or is knocking down a wooden cottage more what comes to mind when you think of Westwood, where homes in the last quarter sold at a 34 percent premium on the L.A. average?

Either way, this three-bedroom home with brick walls and staircases hit the market today in all its woodsy glory. The seller is a family trust, the Maria Byrd Trust. We found it on Open Listings.

Address: 10756 Rochester Avenue

Price: $1,999,999 (or $1,075 a square foot)

How price compares: The average per-square-foot price for homes in Westwood in the last 30 days is $695, according to Open Listings, so this one is a little steep compared to the neighborhood. But compared to recent sales on Rochester Avenue, it’s right in line. Few properties have sold for less than $1,000 a square foot on the strong residential street.

Bedrooms: 3

Bathrooms: 2

Size: 1,860 square feet

Why it’s unique: It’s got those rare New Hampshire woodland vibes, but in polished Westwood.
