Life’s a party when you’re Paris Hilton.

The millionaire heiress has opened up about designing a nightclub in the basement of her Mulholland Estates mansion, saying she loves hosting parties at home because she gets to “control who is there.”

“It used to be a children’s playroom before I made it in to the ultimate adult playroom,” she told the Wall Street Journal of the space, which cost $500,000 to build. “I wanted it to look like a club in Paris.”

The black-and-gold clad room has a string of club-like amenities, including “the most high-tech Bose sound system, bar, DJ booth, dance pole, laser, light and smoke system,” she told the Journal.

Rita Ora, Marilyn Mansion, Hugh Hefner and Bella Thorne have all partied there. Lil Wayne performed his new album for Hilton’s guests at her birthday party last February.

Hilton nabbed the nearly 7,000-square-foot Mulholland Estates mansion for $5.9 million in 2007. It has five bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms and a fitness room. [WSJ] — Katherine Clarke
