Only months after Facebook signed a lease at Playa Jefferson, Vantage Property Investors, the developers behind the Playa Vista campus, revealed plans for the final building at 12777 West Jefferson Boulevard.
New renderings and a video show the proposed Building E, a three-story, 55,000-square-foot structure that would rise on the east end of the campus. Vantage anticipates completion by late next year, Urbanize reports.
Designed by architecture firm Gensler, the structure will be accompanied by a five-story parking garage that can accommodate more than 600 cars. Its interiors feature open floor plans, ample patio space and high ceilings.
There’s no shortage of activity in Playa Vista these days. Just yesterday, The Real Deal learned that the $16 billion coworking company WeWork leased at least 75,400 square feet in Playa Vista, just down the block from Playa Jefferson at the Landing.
Other projects nearby include a 400,000-square-foot Brickyard campus and the renovation of two 1980s office buildings. In the fourth quarter, the amount of office space in Playa Vista reached 1.8 million square feet. [ULA]– Cathaleen Chen
