Movers & Shakers: Bernards, Nourmand & Associates and NGKF

Commercial construction company Bernards is expanding its efforts in new markets with the promotions of Jocelyn Topolski and Mike Funderberg. Topolski is filling the role of executive director of project development. Her position, based in Los Angeles County, will involve project coordination, partnership initiatives, business development and strategic media. She has worked in commercial construction and design for more than 20 years. Previously, she was a director of business development.

Funderberg will serve as the executive director of Bernards’ healthcare group. Formerly a project manager, he will continue to lead major healthcare projects.

Over in Brentwood, the office of Nourmand & Associates has a new agent. The firm hired Connie De Groot, who previously worked for the John Aaroe Group, for her experience west of the 405 Freeway. Since joining Nourmand in mid-March, De Groot has put two deals in escrow.

NGKF Capital Markets also a new top manager. The commercial brokerage firm has hired David Milestone to be its executive managing director. Milestone will oversee NGKF’s debt transactions throughout the West and will work with Kevin Shannon, NGKF’s capital markets West Coast president. Before joining NGKF, Milestone was a debt placement practice senior member under Eastdil Secured for 12 years.
