The late Wes Craven got a scary-good deal on his Hollywood Hills home.

Originally listed for $3.3 million, the horror film director sold the 3,594-foot-home for $3.5 million.

Sold by his widow, producer Iya Labunka, the three-bedroom, three-bathroom residence features a gated driveway, Zen garden, swimming pool, spa and floor-to-ceiling windows that take in city views. It has two offices with their own private patios and a guest quarters.

Built in 1958, the property at 2419 Solar Drive was once owned by actor Steve McQueen.

The Real Deal learned in April that the house had entered the market. Listing agents were Joshua Altman and Matthew J. Altman of the Altman Brothers at Douglas Elliman. The buyer was represented by Kira Gould of Gibson International.

Craven was responsible for films such as “The Hills Have Eyes” and the “Scream” series. [LAT]Cathaleen Chen
