Beyoncé and Jay Z have lost yet another bidding war for a Beverly Hills mansion, this time to none other than famed fashion designer Tom Ford, TMZ reported.

The music industry’s premier power couple submitted a $49 million bid for an eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom house on Hillcrest Drive, after more than a year of hotel stays and rental pads, the gossip site said.  It’s real estate “Déjà Vu” for Bey, who lost another bidding war in 2014, for a 23,000-square-foot, $85 million mega-mansion.

This time, Ford, the occasional film director and former creative director for Gucci, outbid the couple by $1 million. His new 14,000-square-foot home was built in 1934. Previous owners include James Bond producer Albert Broccoli and actor William Powell. [TMZ]Cathaleen Chen
