Tom Cruise sells Beverly Hills mansion for $40M

The actor and famous Scientologist has recently sold his 10,000-square-foot Beverly Hills mansion for $40 million, TMZ reported. For nearly 10 years, he shared the estate with ex-wife Katie Holmes.

The 1.2-acre property off Coldwater Canyon Drive was rumored to have an original listing price tag of $45 million, but to avail. Cruise bought the property for $30.5 million in 2007. It has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a tennis court, a playground, a swimming pool and a giant fountain.

The most recent buyer, according to the gossip website, is billionaire Leon Black, who runs an equity firm. [TMZ] — Cathaleen Chen
