Trailer trash? Hardly.
A mobile home in Malibu recently sold for $5.3 million, marking the most expensive sale of a mobile home in the region — perhaps in the history of the world.
The triple-wide modular home sits in the Paradise Cove Mobile Home Park. A year ago, it sold for $4 million, according to the L.A. Times.
It has all the staples of a luxury household — skylights, beamed ceilings and not one, but two fireplaces. The property has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen with an island, a wood-paneled office and a “boutique-inspired” closet in the master suite.
And yes, there’s even a backyard. It includes a patio, a gazebo and a deck for admiring the ocean views.
The buyer’s agent, Elizabeth Seaman of Pinnacle Estate Properties, confirmed that the property was the most ever paid for a mobile home in Malibu. Her colleague Paul Woodman was the listing agent. [LAT] — Cathaleen Chen
