House from “Father of the Bride” selling for $2M

Los Angeles real estate continues to be a gold mine for 1990s movie buffs.

The latest treasure is the Alhambra colonial-style home that appeared in scenes of the wholesome and well-received “Father of the Bride,” starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. The San Gabriel Valley home just hit the market for a smidgen below $2 million, the New York Post reported.

With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen and a 90-bottle wine refrigerator, the residence at 500 North Almansor Street totals 4,397 square feet of interior space. Ann Gluck of Compass is the listing agent.

The home, built in the 1920s, also features a formal dining room, walnut-paneled den, hardwood flooring, crown moldings, and a separate 600-square-foot apartment for guests. The property lot measure slightly under half an acre.
