This week in renderings: TheMaxLofts, Los Angeles Civic Center Park

This week’s most eye-popping renderings include plans for AMCAL Multi Housing Company‘s 335-unit apartment complex at the site of the Woodland Hills Post Office.

Plans for the 4.2-acre site at 22055-22147 Clarendon Street  include three courtyards, a fitness center, a dog park and a club room. The project is being designed by Architects Orange.

A rendering reveals the interior of a unit in Capital Foresight‘s planned 96-unit development at the Maxfield Building near Skid Row at 819 Santee Street. Rents start at $1,700 per month, and penthouse units start at $3,000 per month. The project is now called TheMaxLofts.

A team led by Mia Lehrer + Associates won the contest to design a new park in Downtown Los Angeles at First Street and Broadway.  New renderings reveal the team’s plans for the almost two-acre Civic Center park, which include planting oaks and sycamores and building a two-floor restaurant. The $28 million park is scheduled to open in 2019. — Hannah Miet
