Movers and Shakers: Paragon, CBRE and more

Retail development firm Paragon Commercial Group has a new director of investments. Brad Rable was poached from CBRE, where he worked as the vice president of the company’s West Coast national retail investment group. In his new position, Rable will manage Paragon’s transactions as well as its value-add strategy across existing portfolio assets.

CBRE has also poached a new player — Robert Perry from CarVal Investors. Perry is now an executive managing director with CBRE Global Investors’ strategic partners U.S. team. He will specialize in transaction origination, program development and capital raising. At CarVal, Perry was a senior managing director and the head of its North America real estate business since 2010.

Meanwhile, residential brokerage Nourmand and Associates poached two brokers from Coldwell Banker. Mitch Silberberg was with Coldwell for 20 years in the New York City Area. He will work out of Nourmand’s Brentwood office. Levi Freeman, on the other hand, has called L.A. home for 12 years, three of which were spent with Coldwell.

At Polaris Pacific, three employees received promotions. Sales and marketing veteran Wendy Novia is now the vice president of sales, Rachel Weaver has the role of business development manager and Johanna Williams will be the company’s new marketing manager.
