Diplo has a new house.
The Grammy-winning DJ — his real name is Thomas Pentz — behind electronic group Major Lazer coughed up $2.4 million for a four-story pad in the Hills. It was originally listed for $25,ooo more than what he paid.
The 2,500-square-foot contemporary has four bedrooms and six bathrooms. With expansive walls of glass and multiple terraces, the Beachwood Canyon abode has views for days of the city, ocean and the surrounding terrain. The house was listed by Imraan Ali of Keller Williams Larchmont, and Farrah Aldjufrie of The Agency represented the buyer.
The master suite with a private balcony takes up the top floor. An open living area, including the kitchen, living room and dining room, fills the third floor. Three bedroom suites make up the first and second stories.
Outside, there is a courtyard with a hot tub, succulent wall and two-car garage.
The property previously changed hands for only $560,000 five years ago. [LAT] — Cathaleen Chen
