The ultra-luxury home market in Mar Vista and Palms is hardly high volume.

Only two homes sold in those submarkets for more than $3 million from March to May of this year, compared with a whopping zero in the same period last year, according to a report by Sotheby’s International Realty.

However, the homes that did sell were nothing to sneeze at. They sold for an average of $8.1 million.
