The beachfront residence of Steve Hilton, hotel heir and philanthropist, is on the market for $10.4 million, the Los Angeles Times reported.
But his own brother, Hilton & Hyland founder Rick Hilton, is not getting the business. Pritchett-Rapf & Associates’ Kate Pritchett-Skene is the listing agent.
The three-story house, which clocks in at nearly 3,400 square feet, is located within the gated Malibu Cove Colony and features floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a circular staircase and a custom saltwater aquarium in the foyer. It was renovated by architect Jay Vanos in 2010.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom pad off the Pacific Coast Highway also has an open-concept living room, a chef’s kitchen, a den, several skylights and a master suite with its own fireplace and steam shower. Outside, there is a walled courtyard with a hot tub and outdoor fireplace. The house tops off with expansive views of the coastline, the nearby pier and Catalina Island.
Hilton bought the house in 2007 for $7.1 million from late actor Robert Ridgely. At the time, he was the CEO of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, founded in 1944 by his grandfather. [LAT] — Cathaleen Chen
