Here’s something to smize about.
Industrious supermodel Tyra Banks has finally sold her Spanish Colonial-style house for $6.4 million — that’s nearly $1.4 million less than her original asking price of $7.8 million and about $100,000 less than her last asking price.
The transaction is slated to close next week, listing agent Heidi Lake of Sotheby’s International Realty told the Wall Street Journal.
The 6,000-square-foot residence in the Beverly Hills Post Office area has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Built in the 1920s, it also features an oval foyer, library, kitchen with walk-in pantry, office big enough for not one but two assistants, living room with exposed wood ceiling, a media lounge, an arts and crafts room and multiple sets of French doors. Outdoor, there is a curtained loggia and a three-level terrace, complete with an outdoor kitchen, fire pit, swimming pool and patio.
Banks purchased the property in 2004 for $3.1 million and subsequently spent $2 million in renovations. She lived in the house for 11 years before moving to Malibu. The buyer is an American businessman returning to the U.S. from Europe, according to his agent, Hilton & Hyland’s Richard Maslan. [WSJ] — Cathaleen Chen
