‘O.C.’ star Peter Gallagher slashes price of Brentwood home to $5.25 million

He’s perhaps best known as Sandy Cohen from “The O.C.” but actor Peter Gallagher was once played the ‘King of Real Estate’ in the 1999 film “American Beauty.” Perhaps some of the research for that role is will come in useful as he and and wife Paula Harwood attempt to find a buyer for their Brentwood home.

Gallagher and Harwood have slashed the price of the six, bedroom, five-bathroom pad on N. Bundy Drive to $5.25 million, The Real Deal has learned.

While that price would make for a neat profit over the $3 million they paid for it in 2007, it’s a significant chop from the $6 million they were asking for the property when they first listed in in February.

David Solomon of the Agency has the listing. He was not immediately available for comment.

The 5,225-square-foot gated property dates back to 1948 and features landscaped grounds with a multi-level courtyard designed by Jay Griffith. The property is currently configured into two distinct wings and has a formal dining room, a master bedroom overlooking the pool and a private office.
