Forget Star Wars memorabilia. For $6.5 million, a Harrison Ford fan has bought an Encino home featuring original carpentry work by the movie star.
Ford was a member of a construction crew hired by the home’s former owner, Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes, to build a recording studio at the property, the L.A. Times reported. The property was also formerly home to Dick Van Dyke.
Jacob Dadon of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent, while Lisa Gaber of L.A. Property Investment represented the buyer.
The gated Italian villa-style house features a home theater, walk-in wine cellar, gym, elevator, three bedrooms and six bathrooms. The home was listed for just under $9 million in April. [LAT] — Cathaleen Chen
