Los Tiempos, a Hancock Park estate once owned by LA Times publisher Norman Chandler and his wife Dorothy Buffum Chandler, has listed for $50 million.

The asking price is more than five times the $9.5 million Nigerian furniture manufacturer Robert Oshodin and and his wife Mimi paid for the property  in 2014.

Built in 1913, the 9,300 square foot home at 455 South Lorraine Boulevard has six bedrooms, eight bathrooms and a swimming pool. It lies within the exclusive Windsor Square residential area.

Keller Williams broker Joseph Soaris has the exclusive listing but declined to comment on the Oshodins’ reasons for selling.

Over the past two years, the Oshodins undertook copious renovations at the mansion and clashed with the Windsor Square Concerned Citizens League when they chose to paint it bright white. Some residents of the neighborhood called the design choice garish and out of character with its surroundings.

The Beaux Arts-style home was originally designed in 1913 by architect J. Martyn Haenke for real estate developer Peter Janss. Its former owners include designer Tim Corrigan.
