A Bel Air mansion built by Mohamed Hadid, supermodel Gigi Hadid’s developer father, has been listed for $85 million.
Hadid sold the sprawling 40,000-square-foot property, known as Le Belvedere, for $50 million in 2010 to international buyers who never actually got around to moving in. He continued to live there following the sale, renting the property back from the new owners.
The 10-bedroom chateau, which sits on 2.2 acres, is listed by Joyce Rey of Coldwell Banker Previews International and Stacy Gottula of the Agency.
Meanwhile, Hadid is facing criminal charges related to another of his properties, Bel Air’s Strada Vecchia mansion.
He allegedly built without a permit and failed to obey orders from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety for his role in the construction of the elaborate house, at 901 Strada Vecchia, which has been dubbed the “starship enterprise” by frustrated neighbors. [WSJ] — Gabrielle Paluch
