Schwarzenegger's real estate investments made him rich before he was a star

Before Arnold Schwarzenegger made it big in Hollywood, he was just your average, Mr. Olympia-winning landlord.
In the years before movies like “Conan the Barbarian,” “The Terminator” and “Predator” catapulted him into A-list stardom, Schwarzenegger made a tidy living in the late 1970s with $100,000 he invested in real estate.
“I did not rely on my movie career to make a living,” he explained in a new book by Tim Ferriss. “I realized in the 1970s that the inflation rate was very high and therefore an investment like that is unbeatable.”
“I benefited from a [magic decade] and I became a millionaire from my real estate investments,” the former California governor said, according to the New York Post. “That was before my career took off in show business and acting.”
